Shower Cleaner

Yet, another Pintrest check-off is the shower cleaner. Directions off of, http://tinyurl.com/6t96mdn
The how to:

12 ounces white vinegar
12 ounces liquid , blue dawn detergent

Directions:
1) Heat vinegar in microwave until hot and pour into squirt bottle.
2) Add the Dawn soap. Put the lid on and gently shake to incorporate.
3) You now have a powerful cleaning product that will melt soap scum and tub and shower buildup, clean sinks, appliances and just about anything. Just spray it on, scrub, rinse and be amazed. For tough soap scum build-up, spray the mixture on and allow it to sit as long as overnight. Then, scrub and rinse.

Only tried it in our shower so far and it's great.

Yummy dip

Another Pintrest check-off, the Fruity Peanut Butter Yogurt Dip. This recipe is from: http://tinyurl.com/5shozzc

Ingredients(Makes 6-8 servings):
·         1/2 cup fruit-flavored yogurt*
·         1/2 cup natural runny peanut butter
·         1/4 cup powdered sugar
·         Fruit/veggies for dipping
*To customize the flavor, use 6 tablespoons of yogurt and 2 tablespoons of any fruit jam. (This is what I did)

Had it with strawberries, so good!

Homemade "Shout"

I made a homemade "Shout" stain remover I found off of Pintrest.
This is the link for the directions: http://tinyurl.com/clx3qmm
Here are the directions (so easy!):
2/3 cups Dishwashing Detergent (can use Dawn or Palmolive)
2/3 cups ammonia
6 Tblsp baking soda
2 cups warm water
Mix everything together and pour into a spray bottle.

Shake well before every use.

This stuff really does work and has saved us $$...always a good thing.

Pork Chops with Vinegar Peppers

Forgot to snap a picture of this one...ah well...but it was still yummy!

What you'll need:
  • 6 pork chops
  • Garlic cloves minced (3)...I just used Garlic Powder...lol
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced 1/2 inch thick
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
Season pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper. Add enough olive oil to coat the bottom of a large, heavy bottomed skillet. Heat over high heat until shimmering. Add half of the pork chops. Cook for 3 minutes, or until nice and golden on both sides. Remove to a paper towel lined plate and cover with foil to keep warm. Add remaining chops, and repeat process, remove to the plate what cooked.
To the now empty pan, add the sliced pepper. Reduce heat to medium-high.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until peppers are beginning to soften. Add garlic, and saute for 30 second, until fragrant. Add the balsamic vinegar, and scape the bottom of the pan vigorously with a wooden spoon to loosen up fond. Let vinegar reduce until it coats the peppers and is almost syrupy in consistency.
Plate pork chops, and top with the vinegar peppers.
